Adipotide

Adipotide (also known as FTPP – Fat-Targeted Proapoptotic Peptide) is an experimental weight loss peptide that has shown promising results in animal studies for reducing body fat by targeting and destroying fat cell blood vessels.

What is Adipotide?

Adipotide is a synthetic peptide originally developed as part of cancer research but repurposed for obesity treatment. Unlike most weight-loss treatments that influence appetite, metabolism, or fat absorption, Adipotide works by directly cutting off the blood supply to fat tissue, leading to fat cell death (apoptosis) and subsequent fat loss.

How Adipotide Works

Adipotide is composed of a peptide sequence that homes in on blood vessels that supply white adipose tissue (body fat). It includes:
